ABOUT

A number, not a funnel

We think you should be able to estimate coverage without becoming a sales lead.

How we build

Estimators show their arithmetic on the page, so a number can be checked line by line. Guides explain the factors insurers price on and what raises or lowers your figure. We hold no insurer rate tables and quote no carrier, and we are not an insurer, an agency or a broker. Every figure is an illustrative estimate, never a quote.

How we make money

At the time of writing this site carries no affiliate links and no advertising. No link earns a commission and no company pays for coverage. If that ever changes, the disclosure page will say so first and any paid link will be marked where it appears.

How we research a coverage note

Every note starts from the same place: the factors insurers actually price on, explained rather than asserted. We run the math in the open so you can follow each step, and we explain what common policy language pays for, in plain English. We hold no insurer rate tables, quote no carrier, and are not an insurer, an agency or a broker. When a figure is an estimate rather than a fixed price, we label it that way, because sizing coverage and buying it are two different steps.
